SkyBitz Inc., Dulles, Va., announced that Oklahoma-based Groendyke Transport Inc. will install more than 500 SkyBitz Mobile Terminal Units in its bulk hauling fleet.

Groendyke uses enterprise software from TMW Systems, which announced an agreement with Skybitz last November to resell Skybitz trailer tracking to its enterprise software customers. Groendyke will integrate SkyBitz’s Global Locating System Platform for security and visibility of trailers on the road throughout the U.S. and into Canada and Mexico.
“SkyBitz’s GLS technology gives us the two-way communication capability that allows for complete asset utilization, as well as the ability to change reporting schedules over the air, ensuring loads are monitored until they arrive safely at their final destination,” said Carl Recher, Groendyke vice president chemical operations.
According to the press release, TMW will assist in the integration of Skybitz technology.
“TMW's integration offers our customers the operational efficiencies they have come to expect from us. Our partnership with SkyBitz has stemmed from their great technology and strong organization committed to customer satisfaction,” said Tom Weisz, TMW president and CEO.
