Unified Western Grocers Inc. has ordered 85 new Utility refrigerated van trailers with the PermaLogic Dome Lamp Controllers from Phillips Industries.

PermaLogic, introduced last year, eliminates any chance of accidentally leaving interior trailer dome lamps on by cutting off power to the lamps when the brake pedal is depressed, allowing for full power to the ABS system. Power is also interrupted when there is an under/over battery voltage situation or at a pre-determined elapsed time.
The PermaLogic family of products has been developed by Phillips Industries as a power management solution for fleets who use auxiliary trailer products that can over-work the available trailer electrical capacity. The PermaLogic products allow fleets to maximize vehicle power and trailer dome lamp life.
