Great Dane Trailers announced Thursday that 100 new production jobs will be added at its Brazil, Ind., manufacturing site in the coming weeks.
In response to increased demand, Great Dane expects to boost trailer output in Brazil to 250 per week, dictating the payroll expansion.
Bernie Buttram, plant manager at the Brazil manufacturing facility said, "Trailer orders are strong, especially in the dry van product line. In manufacturing, and particularly in the trailer business, employees are our greatest asset so we are confident in adding to our workforce at this time."
To meet the additional production needs, Great Dane’s Brazil plant will add to its 1,185 current employees by conducting a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Openings are available for entry-level plant positions and welders. Applicants are encouraged to visit the facility this Saturday, located three miles east of Brazil on U.S. Route 40.
Signs will be posted at the plant entrance directing applicants to the appropriate location for more information.
Great Dane Trailers, a manufacturer of dry van, refrigerated and platform trailers, has headquarters in Savannah, Ga., and Chicago, Ill., with nine manufacturing plants in the United States.
