Great Dane promoted three members of its Savannah, Ga., engineering management team, Charlie Fetz, Adam Hill and Alan Whiten.
Charlie Fetz, a Great Dane veteran of more than 30 years, was named vice president of design and development and will oversee all products from conception to production as well as structural evaluations. For the past 10 years, Fetz held the role of vice president of research and has been instrumental in developing new and innovative materials used in manufacturing Great Dane products while leading a team of the best design engineers in the industry.
Adam Hill was promoted to vice president of product and sales engineering and will provide engineering expertise and support for sales quotations and ordering in addition to overseeing product engineering at Great Dane's production locations. Adam began his career with Great Dane after college and has held various roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served the company as director of customer technical services.
As director of manufacturing engineering, Alan Whiten will oversee capital projects at Great Dane's manufacturing facilities, including plant automation, facility design, new construction, renovations and equipment upgrades. Since joining Great Dane in 1998, Whiten has played a key role in automating manufacturing processes, improving both quality and efficiency.
