The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company introduced the Uni-Max Truck Care Web site, and the Ask The Tire Answer Man blog for customers.
The Uni-Maxx Truck Care network website, www.unimaxxtruckcare.com, provides information about Goodyear's recently launched on-highway truck service network, which encompasses more than 70 locations.
The new website will help direct truckers to network locations and will inform them about Goodyear products and services.
Features include:
* A searchable map of participating Uni-Maxx Truck Care locations;
* Details of Uni-Maxx Truck Care network offerings, such as preventive maintenance, tire service and 24/7 roadside assistance;
* A list of the other services offered at Uni-Maxx Truck Care locations, including DOT and CSA inspections, brakes, belts, electrical and suspension work, gear box changes, U-joint replacements, and more;
* FAQs, news releases, and other general information about the Uni-Maxx Truck Care on-highway network.
The network currently has two members: Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems, a Goodyear subsidiary, and Boss Truck Shops, a subsidiary of Bosselman, both of which participate through their on-highway Wingfoot Truck Care Centers and Boss Shops locations, respectively.
Many of the network's shops are located at Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J Travel Plazas.
Goodyear has also launched the fleetHQ Ask The Tire Answer Man blog, at blog.fleethq.com.
The blog gives fleets and owner-operators an opportunity to interact with Tim Miller, Goodyear's Tire Answer Man, said Bruce Woodruff, director of business solutions marketing, Goodyear Commercial Tire Systems.
A 30-plus year commercial tire veteran, Miller also serves as marketing communications manager for Goodyear's commercial tire business.
Ask the Tire Answer Man boasts a variety of additional features, including:
* Regularly updated blog entries that cover a wide range of truck and truck tire-related topics;
* A calendar that lists The Tire Answer Man's live trade show appearances;
* A feature that lets readers submit questions to The Tire Answer Man;
* An interactive poll;
* Trucking industry headlines, plus links to trucking magazine trade journal Web sites, and more.
