Dr. James Canton, renowned global futurist and media commentator, will serve as keynote speaker at the 2011 AmeriQuest Transportation Industry Symposium, a conference of senior management from best-in-class transportation companies in North America, April 7-8 in Orlando.

In addition to his role as futurist, Dr. Canton is also a social scientist, business advisor, and author of two books The Extreme Future: The Top Trends That Will Reshape the World in the 21st Century and Technofutures: How Leading-Edge Innovations Will Transform Business in the 21st Century.
A frequent media commentator named "the Digital Guru" by CNN and "Dr. Future" by Yahoo, Canton has appeared on CNBC, FOX, PBS, ABC and in Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Report, The New York Times, U.S. News and World Report and CEO, CIO and CFO magazines.
At present, Dr. Canton is Chairman and CEO for Global Futures, a leading think tank he founded that advises business and government on future trends.
He regularly advises Global Fortune 1000 companies on trends in innovation, financial services, energy, security, and globalization. He has also advised three White House administrations, the National Science Foundation, and MIT's Media Lab, Europe.
