GE Capital Fleet Services continues with its Environmental Performance webinar series with its Medium & Heavy Truck Environmental Policy Update, which will be held Dec. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. Eastern time
. The free webinar will focus on 2010 clean diesel mandates and proposed environmental regulations for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
The webinar will be lead by Rich Kassel, senior director of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Ken Gillies, truck operations manager for GE Capital Fleet Services.
During the webinar, the speakers will present a review of current federal environmental policies for medium and heavy trucks and how these will affect the trucking industry. The discussion will also cover government funding opportunities including stimulus packages and transportation bills. They will also discuss case studies of large truck fleets that have become more efficient in this new regulated environment.
In addition, the webinar will address the impact of current and proposed future clean air regulations for medium and heavy truck fleets and will provide helpful tips to deal with these mandates today and down the road.
GE Capital Fleet Services' Environmental Performance webinar series was created to focus on "green" and what it means to companies with vehicles. Subject matter covered will include legislation, medium-to-heavy truck regulations, electric vehicle application and more.
