Entrepreneur Magazine has named Kansas City-based freightquote.com to its list of fastest-growing entrepreneurial companies.

The June issue of Entrepreneur features a list of companies whose founders are actively involved in day-to-day activities, meet the Small Business Association's definition of a small business and are experiencing rapid sales growth. Freightquote.com was ranked No. 29 on the publication’s “Hot 100” list.
Freightquote.com provides a centralized directory where shippers can find a carrier and access real-time rate information and availability. The site also provides shippers with automated freight documents, consolidated monthly billing and online record keeping.
The company began offering online less-than-truckload services in May 1999. It has since added truckload, domestic air, local cartage and intermodal rail services and will add international air and ground destinations to their service options this summer. The company expects to attain profitability by the end of 2001.
Forbes Magazine named freightquote.com among the "Best of the Web" in 2000.
