4CS Inc., East Moline, Ill., announced that its iWarranty software has been selected by The Freightliner Group to help manage the warranty process, from claim submissions through warranty analytics.

"iWarranty has flexible options that include the standard AIAG universal claim form and VMRS damage coding. These are standards of the trucking industry and items Freightliner wanted in order to more closely align itself with the entire trucking industry and its supply chain," said Ron Bush, Freightliner Group director of warranty.
The iWarranty product directly connects manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, partners and customers in a service network. It optimizes the entire warranty cycle through the integration of the following applications: Claim Submittal, Claim processing, Claim Review and Payment, Parts Return, Supplier Warranty, Purchased Warranty, Warranty Analytics and Warranty Center.
"We expect iWarranty to help enhance our dealer and customer satisfaction with respect to the warranty process, especially since it is web-based with upfront edits to help our dealers efficiently submit the claim right the first time. Automating our internal Freightliner Group claims processing based on business rules will make us more efficient as well," Bush said.
According to 4CS, iWarranty software helps reduce the warranty cost of products by providing the best means of obtaining/leveraging high quality claim failure data to be used in improving the quality and reliability of the products, sharing the cost and information with suppliers and business partners along with automating the warranty management processes.
