The Halo Foundation and Road Scholar Transport "93 Cents for Flight 93" campaign featured a Daimler Trucks North America Freightliner Cascadia at its kick-off event Friday in Shankesville, Pa.
The campaign is a fundraising effort commemorating the passengers and crew members aboard United Flight 93, who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

The truck, which is owned by Road Scholar Transport, was meant to generate awareness and money for the effort. Along with an insignia that says "Forever Heroes, Honor and Hope," the truck is decorated with a bald eagle, with its yellow and gray beak descending over the hood. The eagle's head and body continue to the back of the cab and blend into the trailer, which further promotes the "93 Cents for Flight 93" campaign.

The "93 Cents for Flight 93" Cascadia is part of Road Scholar's "Hope and Awareness Campaign," which supports different causes. As part of the campaign, customers select the truck that corresponds with their charity of choice from Road Scholar's fleet of specially-designed Freightliner trucks, and for every mile their freight travels, a donation is made to that charity.

The "93 Cents for Flight 93" initiative supports the Flight 93 National Memorial Capital Campaign, a national and international effort seeking to raise $30 million from philanthropic individuals, corporations and foundations to enable the construction of the Flight 93 National Memorial.
