The 2007 Freight Claims & Loss Prevention Annual Conference will convene May 15-17, 2007, at the International Plaza Resort & Spa in Orlando, Fla.

Hosted by the Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council of the American Trucking Associations, the conference will gather industry professionals from across the country to discuss freight claims and loss prevention issues.
Motor carriers, shippers and brokers will debate mutual challenges and recommended solutions to prevent over, short and damaged goods claims and will examine the emerging issues related to international shipments and the unique incidents that arise for different carrier types. In addition to carrier and shipper representatives, speakers will include David Dwinell, master broker for LoadTraining.com; Loss Prevention Consultant Roy Bowen; Nick Goodall, director of The TruckGuardian Group; and Hans Pirolt, claims manager for International Freight Forwarders. Harry Seaton, Esq. of Seaton & Husk, L.P., and Anthony J. Pruzinsky, Esq. of Hill Rivkins & Hayden, LLP will lend legal support to the "Liabilities and Laws of Transporting Intermodal shipments.
Roehl Transport, Inc., a Marshfield, Wis., truckload carrier, and Mountain Valley Express Co., a Santa Maria, Calif., less-than-truckload carrier, will receive the association's Excellence in Claims/Loss Prevention Award for their exemplary programs and accomplishments in reducing loss and damage.
This conference will be held simultaneously with the Trucking Security & Law Enforcement Conference & Exhibition, sponsored by the Security Council of American Trucking Associations and the National Commercial Vehicle and Cargo Theft Prevention Task Force.
