Cleveland-based TMW Systems, the truckload operations software provider, announced that Florida Express Carriers of Jacksonville has chosen TMW's TL2000 software for the IBM
AS/400.
Florida Express is a wholly owned subsidiary of Florida East Coast Industries and specializes in regional and intrastate truckload freight. The company also offers intermodal service in combination with its affiliate, FEC Railway, interchanging in Jacksonville.
Florida Express is using TL2000 to perform maintenance of customer service and rate information, load bookings, dispatch and equipment tracking, driver settlements, invoicing and more.
TL2000 integrates with rail dispatch functions at FEC Railway, and automatically updates Florida Express equipment accordingly. Using a special modification developed by TMW, the carrier can track trailers until they are picked up at a rail facility by either a customer, a company tractor, or a third-party delivery agent or drayage operation.
