FleetRisk Advisors has acquired Safety Management Solutions, a consulting firm providing expertise and leadership in safety improvement through program development, online learning and employee involvement.
Through the acquisition, FleetRisk will expand its offerings delivered through its flagship safety management platform The Driving Center.
"The merger gives current SMS customers access to cutting edge technology and systems and provides current FleetRisk customers with additional subject matter expertise and much broader domain expertise," said James Kaletta, president of SMS.
FleetRisk plans to integrate all SMS safety programs into its existing suite of predictive models for commercial driving risks which include workers compensation risks, safety awareness, hiring and retention, online training, and automated intervention and countermeasures.
FleetRisk's The Driving Center includes large scale data aggregation, in-vehicle telematics integration, external data warehouse integration, a broad suite of predictive modeling applications, along with driver coaching, and risk intervention strategies. The expanded offering will be a packaged series of "intelligent countermeasures" and management "coaching plans."
