FleetPride has acquired the assets of Midwest Brake & Wheel, Inc. and Gille Company, Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana. This acquisition marks FleetPride's second entrance into the Indiana market.
Midwest Brake & Wheel was founded in 1955 as Midwest Brake & Electric. Current owners Mark Bauer and Chris London will stay with FleetPride -- with Bauer managing the branch and London in a sales capacity. Employment offers were extended to 15 additional team members.
"FleetPride wanted more direct access in the Indianapolis market," says FleetPride President and COO, Lee Stockseth. "Midwest Brake & Wheel has a stellar reputation and brings a significant local customer base and a customer-focused philosophy that is complementary to FleetPride's heavy-duty parts business. The combination of these two companies gives us the ability to serve our existing customers more effectively, as well as offer a broader range of product categories to all customers."
"Known as the Crossroads of America, Indianapolis is a primary industrial, commercial and transportation center for the Midwest. With the city's central location and Indiana's extensive highway network, establishing a presence here improves our accessibility to customers and deepens our footprint. We welcome the Midwest Brake & Wheel employees to the FleetPride family," said W.M. McGee, FleetPride Chairman and CEO.
