FleetPride has acquired Southwest Brake & Parts, Inc.
The acquisition expands FleetPride's footprint into Michigan and includes eight Southwest Brake & Parts locations throughout the state.
Southwest Brake & Parts, founded in 1958 by the Holaski family, operates locations in Detroit, Burton (Flint), Hazel Park, Jackson, Lansing, Mt. Pleasant, Saginaw and Wixom - all of which are part of this asset purchase agreement. Employment offers have been extended to employees at all eight Southwest Brake & Parts branch locations.
"As one of the leading heavy-duty truck parts distributors in Michigan, Southwest Brake & Parts brings longevity, a track record of steady growth, a reputation for parts availability and a dedication to outstanding service. We are excited that in this one event we are able to add eight prime locations in new FleetPride markets, all with knowledgeable, long term employees, perfectly suited to our FleetPride culture," said Lee Stockseth, chief operating officer.
"As we continue to analyze potential business opportunities in specific markets, we consider a myriad of factors including size, location, sustained profitability, management and employees, complimentary product lines, and reputation in the industry," said W.M. McGee, President and CEO.
