The trucking industry is being introduced to a map display solution that runs on virtually any operating system.
ObjectFX and partner TransDecisions say companies will increase fleet productivity by taking advantage of location and wireless technologies and viewing in real-time the movement of drivers, service personnel, equipment and inventory.
A single database source combines constantly updated information -- including routing attributes -- onto an attractive map display. Benefits to transportation companies include the ability to easily integrate this solution into their existing operations allowing them to optimize scheduling, track multiple assets and improve customer service.
This transportation logistics offering uses the visualization capabilities of ObjectFX's software platform, SpatialFX, with the TD Fleet scalability and processing components. The joint solution provides a tool that supports operations management with a Java-based solution.
"We have hit a homerun by delivering a way to improve operational processes, lower costs and positively impact the customer experience," said Tim Devine, president and CEO of ObjectFX. "Our SpatialFX toolkit offers the ability to focus in on a specific market and in this instance, the transportation industry benefits."
"We have focused our efforts on the delivery of a premier transportation industry product," said Bob Kamm, CEO of TransDecisions. "Our efforts are in response to real customers needs and reflect the leading application of ObjectFX," said Kamm.
