Oct. 30 – PeopleNet Communications Corp. has announced that the Intouch Fleet Management system is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 98 operating system. The Intouch system features an Internet-based customer interface that allows users to track vehicle location, send and receive data messages and pull reports ranging from messaging and location history to billing information. The satellite tracking and mobile communications system also combines global positioning system satellites, the public cellular infrastructure and the Internet to provide locating, two-way data messaging and voice communications.
