Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrator Anne Ferro will join a lineup of industry experts next month as two of the trucking industry's publications, Fleet Owner and Heavy Duty Trucking, team up with the Mid-America Trucking Show to provide an in-depth look at the future of equipment and trucking in the 2012 Fleet Forum.
The Fleet Forum will be held Wednesday, March 21, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., the day before the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show, at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Ky.
The program will include:
* The Future of Heavy Duty Trucks in North America, Sandeep Kar, global director, Commercial Vehicle Research Frost & Sullivan
* Luncheon - Regulations/Legislation Affecting Trucking Fleets, Anne Ferro, administrator of the FMCSA
* The Future of the HD Truck Powertrain, a panel of major OEMs on the future of the HD truck powertrain and the impact of greater integration on truck users. Moderated by Jim Mele, editor in chief, Fleet Owner.
* FuelSmarts: Fuel Efficiency - A Real World Perspective, a fleet panel made up of HDT's 2012 Truck Fleet Innovators. Moderated by Jim Park, HDT equipment editor.
