On March 19-20, 2013, Georgia will hold its 5th Annual Georgia Logistics Summit hosted by the Center of Innovation for Logistics.

The summit is the only state-led collaborative event of its kind and size in the nation, according to organizers, and has grown in attendance every year, from 450 in 2009 to over 1,600 participants from 28 states and seven countries in 2012. Approximately 85% of the participants come from the private industry.

The summit attracts a wide range of private industry executives from across all sectors of the logistics provider ecosystem. This includes organizations from transportation, warehousing, 3PL's and other service providers, technology, industrial real estate, economic development leaders, and many more. This event also attracts supply chain executives from "logistics-enabled" companies as well, such as large retailers and manufacturers.

Every year, the summit provides content and speakers to discuss topics that resonate throughout aspects of our diverse logistics ecosystem. Included in the 2013 Summit are three new "opportunity sessions" that provide the framework to specifically look at different markets, or product groups.

The Center of Innovation for Logistics helps companies overcome challenges and capitalize on opportunities related to the movement of freight. It provides focused expertise, specific industry data, connections to state resources, and an extensive cross-sector industry network. The Center is a component of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and has main offices in Savannah and Atlanta, but has activity in all parts of the state.
