FedEx Custom Critical, Akron, Ohio, has enhanced its online Shipping Toolkit with features that let customers quote, schedule, track and map shipments as well as view corresponding shipment documents.
The Shipping Toolkit is a feature of the FedEx Custom Critical Web site, located at www.fedexcustomcritical.com. With the "Quote" option, customers can get detailed rate quotes with corresponding transit times. The new "Ship" feature enables customers to set up their expedited shipments with a few mouse clicks instead of a telephone call. Shipment information such as pickup and delivery times and shipment status - for current shipments or any ones occurring within the past 28 days - is also available.
Customers who register to use the Shipping Toolkit, consequently receiving user identification numbers and passwords, have access to many other functions. The "Detailed Track" feature provides information like company and contact names for the shipper and consignee; freight details such as number of pieces and weight; and pickup and delivery times.
A shipment's corresponding paperwork is also only a few mouse clicks away. Registered users can visit the "Shipping Documents" section of the Shipping Toolkit to view and print out copies of a shipment's bill of lading, proof of delivery and invoice. The "Account Summary" feature aids in bill payment by providing copies of outstanding invoices, available in 30-day increments up to 90 days.
