Linda Yates, founder of ExpressTrucking.com, said this year’s focus on the expedite industry at the Mid-America Trucking Show drew "an unprecedented number of attendees for this targeted market."
She said expedite industry exhibitors and attendees were able to get what they came for -- information and connections for professionals in expedited trucking.
ExpressTrucking.com was the innovator of a focused environment for expedited trucking at major trade shows, and MATS 2004 featured a 1,400-square-foot Expedite InfoCenter that became the focus for expedited trucking.
"It was also gratifying to see that ExpressTrucking.com has been instrumental in the continued recognition of an Expedite Truck class in the Paul K. Young Truck Beauty Contest," Yates said. "The participants were able to compete among vehicles exclusive for the expedite application."
This year’s "Expedite Truck" and "Interior Expedite" winners included:
1st - L&K Expedite/Loren Kelsey, 2001 Burgundy Western Star 4900
2nd - JM Trucking/James Morris, 2004 Ruby Pearl & White Freightliner Columbia
3rd - Morgan Morris, 2000 White Kenworth W900
"Interior Expedite" winners were:
Yates said the next appearance by ExpressTrucking.com will be at the North American Truck Show in Baltimore April 29 - May 1.
