Expediters Online.com has announced that final preparations are under way for its Expedite Expo 2003.
The event, which will be held Wednesday, Aug. 13 and Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Detroiter Truck Stop in Woodhaven, Mich., is North America's only trade show specifically dedicated to the expedited freight industry.
The world of expediting utilizes vehicles in sizes from cargo vans to Class 8 trucks, and Expedite Expo 2003 will feature expediting truck dealers and manufacturers who specialize in all size trucks, particularly Class 7.
"This is the third year for the Expedite Expo and we're pleased with the growing support from the carriers, manufacturers and suppliers," says Lawrence McCord, general manager of On Time Media, the parent company of Expediters Online.com.
"Expedite Expo 2003 affords the owner/operator the opportunity to get a closer look at new expediting equipment as well as the chance to network with recruiters from the industry's leading carriers," he said.
In addition to a golf event, the expo will include a VIP breakfast, an exhibit hall open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, and seminars.
Noted trucking author and consultant Ellen Voie will conduct an industry roundtable discussion on both days of the expo. Ellen has conducted seminars at the two previous Expedite Expo's and is a popular and informative host.
On Time Media, LLC provides information resources for the expedited freight industry. Founded in 1998, the OTM network includes websites for trucking industry news, truck sales and driver recruitment.
