Hybrid vehicles will be among the topics of discussion at the upcoming Energy Evolution: Transforming the Future of Power symposium in Chicago on June 7.
The half-day event is being presented by Eaton Corporation.

The event will feature a keynote address by Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn as well as a series of panel discussions on how the public and private sectors can better navigate rapidly evolving energy management challenges.

"By bringing regional and national leaders from the public and private sectors together, this symposium will advance the dialogue and solutions to address the great energy challenges of the 21st century," said Craig Arnold, vice chairman and chief operating officer, Industrial Sector, Eaton Corporation, who will deliver opening remarks at the conference.

The breakout session on advanced hybrid technology will be presented by Richard Rodriguez, president of the Chicago Transit Board; 
Doug Scott, director of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency;
Darren Gosbee, director of EV and hybrid powertrain product development, Navistar; and Ali Emadi, Harris Perlstein Endowed chair, professor and director, Illinois Institute of Technology.
