Element Fleet Management has appointed Art Cohen as manager of its Commercial Truck Center (CTC), located in Virginia Beach, Va. In this role, Cohen is responsible for the overall operation of the dealership, which was created to provide a new remarketing channel for off lease light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks. CTC recently celebrated its one-year anniversary.
Cohen comes to the CTC with more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry. Prior to joining the company, he was general manager for other dealerships located in the Tidewater area, according to Element Fleet Management.
“Similar to retail consignment centers, which achieve higher returns by taking used fleet vehicles directly to the consumer market, the Commercial Truck Center puts used light, medium, and heavy trucks in front of retail buyers, such as small business contractors like plumbers, electricians, and general contractors,” Cohen said.
Since opening in 2014, the CTC has added support staff and continues to increase its sales volume of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks.
"We’re incredibly pleased with the performance of the CTC of Virginia over the past year,” said Tom Keilty, Element Fleet Management’s chief operating officer. "The Center continues to enhance returns for our customers' leased assets by providing a retail channel of distribution for off-lease vehicles. We’re excited about the suite of services offered at the location and look forward to working with customers for years to come.”
The CTC is Element's third dealership, joining franchise locations in Williamsburg, Va., and Edenton, N.C.
