EIA Driver of Year Gets New Heil Front Loader
When Keith Bohac was named the Environmental Industry Assn.’s (EIA) 2004 Driver of the Year, his employer, Republic Waste Services, offered to reward him with a brand new front loader

Keith Bohac, (center) is flanked by Michael Jobe, president of Heil Environmental; Kevin Walbridge, Republic regional vice president; Jim Rogers, Heil vice president of North American sales; and Todd Anderson, Heil national account director for Republic.
"Make it a Heil body on a Mack chassis, or I’ll just keep the one I’ve got," he replied.
Later on, Bohac accepted the keys to a new Heil Half/Pack front loader decked out with chrome wheels and a custom paint job featuring his name of the door.
Bohac took delivery of his new truck at Heil Environmental’s manufacturing facility in Fort Payne, Ala.
"Heil really does build the best truck," said Bohac, who has driven refuse collection vehicles for 26 years without a reportable accident or injury. "I like Heil because of its dependability. Heil trucks are really solid and hold up well. And their controls are very driver-friendly."
EIA describes its Drivers of the Year as "the very best in the industry." They are selected on the basis of their job performance and recommendations. Bohac’s route is in Detroit, Mich. He drives an average of 750 miles per week with 600 stops. In addition to his driving responsibilities, he also serves other drivers as union steward.
