Take a few days to invest in yourself and your fleet operation through education and training available during The Work Truck Show 2008 and 44th Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention.


In addition to an expansive show floor stocked with the latest product and technology developments from 500 exhibitors, the event also includes a topnotch educational conference.
The Work Truck Show 2008 runs Feb. 26-28, 2008, at the Georgia World Congress Center (Atlanta, Ga.), with the convention and educational sessions starting Feb. 25.
"There is no better place to find answers to your spec'ing and technical questions than The Work Truck Show and annual NTEA Convention," says Dennis Jones, NTEA convention chairman and vice president of sales and marketing for Auto Truck Group (Roanoke, Ind.). "I think this is the strongest session line-up we have ever offered to the industry. Classes provide attendees with practical information they can use to improve their fleets' productivity and profitability right away."

Hybrid Truck and Alternative Fuels Summit
The learning opportunities begin with an all-day Hybrid Truck and Alternative Fuels Summit on Monday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. - 4:30p.m. This popular program provides technology updates and information about how to integrate hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles into fleets. Considerations for determining the cost justification of purchasing these vehicles will also be addressed. A separate ticket is required.

Fleet Management Symposium
Also on Monday, Feb. 25, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30p.m., fleet, shop and equipment managers may attend a Fleet Management Symposium focusing on financial and operational practices that can reduce costs by 10 percent to 30 percent while increasing shop labor productivity. The symposium is led by fleet management consultant Kelly Walker, president of Kelly Walker Associates (Dallas, Texas). Advance registration is required, and includes entry into the show and all educational conference sessions.

Exclusive Fleet Manager Training Session and Networking Luncheon
Over the past decade, the role of the fleet administrator has changed dramatically, along with the expectations of organizational leaders. A Truck Fleet Manager Training Session & Networking Luncheon, "The Ever-changing Role of the Fleet Administrator," will include a short presentation addressing the evolving dynamics pertaining to the role of fleet manager/administrator and will provide potential strategies to ensure future success. Following the presentation, lunch will be served, giving participants plenty of time to network and share ideas with their peers. This Special Session is open to fleet managers only, and a ticket is required. It will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Concurrent Educational Sessions
A slate of educational sessions Monday, Feb. 25 through Wednesday, Feb. 27, will cover technical and business planning topics, including vocational truck design and specification, best practices in state and municipal fleet management, the power of Telematics, current trends in the truck equipment market, and much more.

Stan Slap, president of the international consulting company Slap, will present "Do Something About Your Brand Before It Does Something About You" during the Business Forum on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. Slap will tell attendees once and for all how to create brandable customer service. A ticket is required.

Free Training Theaters Offered on Show Floor
Work Truck Show attendees are invited to attend free mini-classes taking place in two training theaters on the show floor Tuesday, Feb. 26 and Wednesday, Feb. 27. These 20-minute sessions provide operational insights and business strategies that can be applied immediately.
