Edmonton Kenworth in Edmonton, Alberta, was named Kenworth Dealer of the Year for the United States and Canada during the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting in SeaTac, Wash.
The Kenworth Dealer of the Year award recognizes the top-performing Kenworth dealership that has excelled in many areas, including customer service and support after the sale. The award is based on Kenworth's extensive Dealer Excellence Standards and Kenworth's Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Edmonton Kenworth was chosen for the honor from among Kenworth's five Gold Award winners for 2001. Other Gold Award winners were: Bay Area Kenworth, Oakland, Calif; MHC Kenworth, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Sahling Kenworth, Kearney, Neb.; and Truck Enterprises, Roanoke, Va.
"Edmonton Kenworth did just a fantastic job in 2001," said Ed Caudill, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president. "They moved into their new flagship facility, which provided their customers with even more outstanding support and helped to significantly expand their business."
Edmonton Kenworth is a major supplier of truck equipment, parts and service to the oilfield, logging and highway markets in the Edmonton region and Northern Alberta. The dealership sells everything from the Kenworth T300 medium-duty product to the Kenworth C550 oilfield truck.
Edmonton Kenworth has three locations, including two in Edmonton and one in Lloydminster, Alb. Last year, the dealership opened a 48,000-square foot, state-of-the-art flagship facility in Edmonton. The facility has 24 service bays, including two drive-through service bays for Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube service. An alignment pit handles large highway haulers and oilfield trucks. The dealership also features a huge indoor showroom, large parts display, comfortable driver's lounge, showers, and a large parking area for tractor-trailers.
"To support our customers, we also operate a mobile service truck to go out and handle customer repairs in the field," King said. "We offer the full range of Kenworth PremierCare program services, including contract preventive maintenance."
Edmonton Kenworth isn't new to the awards podium. The dealership won Kenworth's Canadian Dealer of the Year Award for 2000 at last year's dealer meeting.
Also announced at the meeting were Kenworth's Silver Award winners for 2001, which were: C-B Kenworth, South Portland, Maine; Central Illinois Trucks, Normal, Ill.; GreatWest Kenworth, Calgary, Alb.; Inland Kenworth - New Mexico, Albuquerque, N.M; Kenworth Sales Co., Salt Lake City, Utah; Michigan Kenworth, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Trebar Kenworth, Boise, Idaho; Tri-State Kenworth, East Windsor, Conn.; Wallwork Truck Center, Fargo, N.D.; and Truck Enterprises - Harrisonburg, Va.
