Eaton Names Beering to Head Up Transmission Business
Eaton Corp. named John Beering senior vice president and general manager, commercial vehicle transmission business, effective Jan. 1

John Beering has been named Eaton's senior vice president and general manager, commercial vehicle transmission business.
Beering, most recently vice president and general manager for Eaton's Global Vehicle Group Aftermarket and Clutch business, will continue to be based in Galesburg, Mich., and serve in a dual role until a successor for his previous position is identified.
He will report to Tim Sinden, president North America Truck Operations.
Johns success in key roles at Eaton along with his extensive experience in the commercial vehicle market makes him the ideal person to lead our Commercial Vehicle Transmission business, said Sinden. We are pleased to have Johns talent and enthusiasm as we continue to grow in this important segment of our business.
Beering joined Eaton in 2006 as director of global marketing for the Eaton Truck Group.
Prior to joining Eaton, Beering worked at United Technologies Corp., where his last assignment was as director of marketing for Pratt & Whitney's Large Commercial Engines and Service Business.
Beering earned a masters of science from Purdue Universitys Krannert Graduate School of Management, and a bachelors degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University.
