Drag & Drop Trailers On Your Screen To Direct Real Moves in the Yard
Synergistic Systems, Neptune Beach, Fla., has upgraded its Synergy Yard Management system with drag & drop trailer moves and enhanced yard detail maps

Synergy Yard Management screen shot.
According to Synergistic Systems, a trailer move can now be dispatched by dragging and dropping the trailer icon and selecting a hostler (yard tractor) to assign to the job. Yard spaces can be placed at any angle on the maps to more closely match the physical layout.
The system combines gate management with optional electronic RFID readers, yard inventory control, electronic dispatching of hostler moves and interactive yard maps.
Trailer owners can be notified of empties via e-mail or fax – a help in eliminating detention charges. Trailer contents can be tracked for manufacturing sites, and trailer moves can be assigned cost centers to split ac-countability among vendors.
Synergy Yard Management can improve yard efficiencies, reducing the need for yard tractors, eliminating yard checks and long searches through the yard for a specific trailer. The elimination of detention charges can provide a rapid return on investment by itself.
