Kenny Doonan, dealer principal of Doonan Peterbilt Truck and Equipment of Wichita, Kan., was recently named Peterbilt's 2006 Medium Duty Truck Dealer of the Year.
"Kenny and his team embraced Peterbilt's commitment to the medium-duty market and took their performance to the next level," says Bill Jackson, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. "They served customer needs by utilizing the full range of Peterbilt's medium-duty vehicles and were successful in a wide range of medium-duty applications.
"Their dedication to customer satisfaction and innovative business planning made them instrumental in helping Peterbilt achieve record medium-duty market share last year."
In 2006, Doonan's dealership increased medium-duty sales by more than 300 percent.
Doonan has owned and operated Doonan Peterbilt Truck and Equipment of Wichita since 1992 and recently purchased his second Peterbilt dealership, Doonan Peterbilt of Great Bend Kan.
"We recognize the potential for medium-duty success in our area and have dedicated the resources necessary to increase our market share dramatically," says Doonan. "Our success and winning the Peterbilt Medium Duty Dealer of the Year was very much a team effort. We focus on understanding the business and application needs of customers, and then tailoring full-service solutions for them, including TruckCare preventive maintenance programs and financing and leasing packages."
