Former-trucker-turned-preacher Sherry Hicks is hosting the Pete giveaway to raise money for her Love Walk Ministry in Hickory, N.C.
Operating out of The Living Word Fellowship in Hickory, the outreach program helps adults and children learn to read; operates a weekly food pantry that distributes groceries to those in need;and finds jobs for the jobless, among other ministries.
A $100 donation to the ministry gets the donor one chance at winning the Pete, complete with a Cat-15 475-hp engine and 335 rears.
Hicks will be on hand at Truck Show Latino in Pomona, Calif., Oct. 13, 14 and 15.
