Detroit Diesel Corp. is re-naming the Detroit Diesel Genuine Parts brand to Detroit Genuine Parts. The former Detroit Diesel Reliabilt brand will be folded into the Detroit Genuine Parts brand as well.
Detroit Genuine Parts will continue to offer a full range of maintenance, repair and overhaul options for its engines that will now expand to cover transmissions and axles. The brand's remanufactured offering includes cylinder heads, water pumps, turbochargers, fuel injectors, diesel particulate filters and complete engines.
With the same reputation for reliability, performance and value customers expect, Detroit Genuine Parts, purchased and serviced at authorized Detroit service outlets, will support the Detroit integrated powertrain platform for all Daimler Trucks North America brands, including Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and Freightliner Custom Chassis.
"The new name reflects our commitment to innovation in powertrain technologies and maintaining our customers' assets with genuine OEM parts that meet and exceed performance expectations," says Daniel Haggerty, director of parts and service marketing for Daimler Trucks North America.
