Detroit Diesel customers with EPA '07 equipment approaching the required change intervals for diesel particulate filters can find cleaned and recycled DPFs at authorized service outlets, the builder said.
Customers can exchange their spent DPFs for the renewed units and quickly return their trucks to service.

Dealers send the traded-in DPFs to Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing facilities where they undergo cleaning with de-ionized water, restoring DPFs to approximately 95% of their original effectiveness. Since launching its DPF cleaning program, the company has recycled more than 7,000 filters.

"Not only is the Detroit Diesel remanufactured DPF restored to almost-new, it saves our customers money because the remanufactured DPF is more cost effective than a new part," said Richard Marcis, manager of Reliabilt product engineering. Exchanges can be done at more than 800 locations in North America.
