With a theme of "Insight: The Future of the Global Commercial Vehicle
Industry," this year's annual Heavy Duty Dialogue '08, Monday, Jan. 21,
2008, at The Mirage, Las Vegas,
will be an exceptional business
conference for executives in the commercial vehicle industry.
The keynote luncheon speaker will be Dee Kapur, president of Navistar's
International Truck and Engine Corporation's Truck Group. Kapur's
remarks will reflect the conference theme and the relevance to his
company's global strategy. Kapur will discuss how he and his team have
focused on re-vitalizing the Internation brand truck product line,
brand, global presence and profitability. This "bold goals" strategy has
enabled the Truck Group to achieve impressive record levels of
profitable performance, while establishing a number of strategic
initiatives for the future.
Kapur and his team have successfully leveraged the
International commercial truck platform into new markets, such as a
joint venture in India, and drawn extensive attention to the brand with
its move into the military business with the International
MaxxPro MRAP (Mine Resistant Armor Protected) and MXT vehicles,
its move into Class 4 and 5 vehicles with the CF series, and acquisition
of Workhorse Custom Chassis.
Organized by the board of directors of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers
Association (HDMA), HD Dialogue '08 will continue the event's tradition
of offering a stellar line-up of analysts and industry leaders
forecasting the future of the global commercial vehicle industry.
The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) has served the strategic
needs of its 172 member companies and the commercial vehicle industry
since 1983. A market segment association of the Motor & Equipment
Manufacturers Association (MEMA), HDMA's mission is to be the industry's
primary advocate for the members of the commercial vehicle supplier
community. With a continuous focus on its members, HDMA strives to
advance the image and interests of the industry and its member
companies.
