Decisiv, Inc. announced that a new Freightliner version of the Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP 5.1) is in use at a number of large national fleet customers.
The latest version of DSMP is designed to enhance communication with service locations and increasing asset utilization for Freightliner fleets.
DSMP 5.1, which contains several important upgrades, builds on the original platform built by Decisiv for Freightliner LLC and launched in 2003. Participating fleets can utilize the platform to review notes provided by the service location, results of the inspection and related documents. Fleet users can also create an electronic profile with contact, operational and vehicle information and provide a unique vehicle inspection to be performed when a vehicle arrives at a participating service location.
Fleet managers can also use DSMP to initiate a service transaction. The selected service location receives a notification that includes information from the fleet profile along with comments from the fleet manager or breakdown center so the service write-up process can commence prior to the vehicle's arrival."For a growing number of Freightliner fleets, the Decisiv Service Management Platform is reducing downtime and improving repair quality," said Derek Messulam, senior vice president of Decisiv. "Using a web based portal fleets can receive immediate notification of service transactions as they occur across the country, and view and approve service events."
An early adopter of Decisiv's fleet platform is Prime, Inc., Springfield, Mo. "Prime continues to look for more effective ways to work with the Freightliner service network and increase the uptime of our trucks," said Jerry Miller, road assistant supervisor. "To this end, we have begun working with Decisiv to exchange information and track repairs being performed at Freightliner dealers. We have found this to be an effective way to review estimates, communicate with service location personnel and track progress on our vehicles."
Developed in partnership with truck manufacturers, dealer service locations and fleet operators, the Decisiv Service Management Platform has evolved over the past seven years. The current release facilitates truck service transactions totaling hundreds of millions of dollars each year and is a key tool at many of the largest truck service centers across North America.
DSMP is currently in use by about one third of OE dealer service locations and distributor service facilities under the brand names Diamond Estimating System and ServicePartner at International dealerships, MVASIST at Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks dealers, DSMP at Freightliner service locations, QuoteIt at W.W. Williams service locations and Prevost.ASIST at Prevost repair facilities.
