An audio seminar sponsored by the Truckload Carriers Assn.(TCA) focusing on driver retention will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on Dec. 11.
Called "Do You Have a Revolving Driver Door?" the seminar will explore the role all departments play in achieving high retention.
The rebounding economy and the new hours of service regulations will make retention a bigger worry than ever before.
Dissatisfaction with the disruption and confusion in the early months of HOS implementation will encourage many drivers to look around -- unless every department in the company focuses on improving driver retention and satisfaction.
Too often, the blame for turnover is focused on recruiting to simply fill the trucks or operations running drivers off, ignoring the role maintenance, safety, payroll, administration, and even sales play in achieving driver job satisfaction.
On this call you will learn how each department can play a significant role in driver retention.
-- What can your maintenance department do to retain drivers?
-- How can your payroll/administration department implement a plan to respond to drivers and drivers’ family’s requests and other issues in conjunction with operations in order to retain drivers?
-- How can your sales and marketing department help every day to retain drivers?
The audio conference is easy, convenient and cost-effective. Simply dial in on a speakerphone and have as many employees as you want listen in -- all for one price. Individuals also have the ability to ask questions during the audio conference, making the experience interactive as well.
The price for TCA members is $129. Non-members pay $159. The price includes live hook-up and materials.
