Dart Joins ATA, Supports Association Efforts on HOS, Tolls, Fuel
In an unusual announcement, the American Trucking Associations said this week that Dart Transit Co. recently became an ATA member

Dart is based in St. Paul, Minn. and operates the 16th largest truckload carrier in the U.S. The ATA release said Dart made the move to support ATA initiatives on current and pending legislative issues.
“Now is the time for the trucking industry to speak with a single strong voice,” Dart President Donald G. Oren said. “Pending changes to Hours of Service Regulations, highway reauthorization and turning freeways into tollways, and rising fuel costs are examples of why the trucking industry needs to speak with a clear and articulate voice. Now is the time for truckload carriers, including Dart, to participate in the process through our largest industry organization, the ATA.”
ATA President Bill Graves said Dart’s action represented an important step forward for the Association. “Dart is a leader and innovator in the trucking industry, and we welcome their participation as we address the many challenges facing our industry.”
