"The SPL 250 Lite addresses the needs of vehicle operators that choose to replace with genuine product, while our growing Spicer Select portfolio offers Dana-engineered all-makes alternatives for aging vehicles,” said Dan Griffin, senior director, global aftermarket sales, marketing and customer service for Dana.
The SPL 250 Lite aftermarket replacement offering simplifies installation with a press-in midship assembly and includes the complete driveshaft, coupling shaft, and service components. It does not require torque wrenches or boot clamps for ease of service, Dana said.
The SPL 250 Lite driveshaft is up to 25 pounds lighter than competitive products, according to Dana, and it shares service components with the SPL 350 and SPL 250 driveshafts, further simplifying inventory for aftermarket outlets and service facilities.
SPL 250 Lite assemblies are built on order, while service parts are offered through the company's Crossville, Tennessee, distribution center. For part numbers, ordering, and availability, visit DanaAftermarket.com.
Dana has also expanded the Spicer Select product range with the addition of two new replacement U-joints covering Meritor Permalube RPL Series drivelines. Spicer Select U-joints are permanently lubricated and sealed, providing reduced operating and maintenance costs.
