The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association has tapped Martin Daum, president and CEO of Daimler Trucks North America, as the keynote speaker of the 20th Annual Breakfast & Briefing at the Mid-America Trucking Show
on Friday, March 26, 2010.
Daum, who was appointed to his position in June 2009, has leadership and visionary responsibility for Daimler Trucks North America and its affiliated companies, including Freightliner Trucks, Western Star Trucks, Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, Detroit Diesel Corporation and Axle Alliance Company. Daum will offer his opinion on the industry outlook, and give his perspective to successfully navigate Daimler through a turbulent period in the commercial vehicle industry.
"Having Mr. Daum as our featured speaker, recently appointed to his position at Daimler North America, will be a not-to-be missed opportunity for the industry to hear first hand his opinions on the outlook," said Tim Kraus, president and chief operating officer of HDMA.
