President and CEO of Daimler Trucks North America, Martin Daum, will deliver the keynote address on Friday, May 6, at the Alternative Clean Transportation Expo in Long Beach, Calif.
The ACT Expo will feature the latest information and products in the advanced clean vehicle technology and alternative fuel transportation sector. Daum will discuss his company's leadership in bringing to market an array of highly efficient and alternative fuel truck technologies.
Daum's address will be complemented by a presentation from his DTNA colleague Wilfried Achenbach, senior vice president, engineering and technology, who will speak during one of the conference technical sessions taking place on Friday morning.
DTNA will also have a full lineup of its advanced technology truck platforms on display in the Expo Hall and in the Ride & Drive, including a compressed natural gas Freightliner Cascadia, a Freightliner M2 liquefied natural gas tractor, and a variety of other CNG, LNG, hybrid electric, hydraulic hybrid and electric vehicles. DTNA brands Freightliner Custom Chassis and Thomas Built Buses will also participate in the event.
Mr. Daum was appointed president and chief executive officer of DTNA in June 2009 and has been with Daimler since 1987. In his most recent assignments, he was a member of the executive committee of Mercedes-Benz Trucks in Europe and senior vice president of production for Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
