Daimler Celebrates 100,000th Cascadia From Plant in Mexico
Daimler Trucks North America is celebrating the production anniversary of its plant in Saltillo, Mexico, with the 100,000th Freightliner Cascadia to roll off the floor

The plant, which was opened in 2009 after a $300 million investment, is part of the international production network of Daimler's commercial vehicle subsidiary DTNA. Saltillo can accommodate an annual production volume of up to 30,000 Freightliner Cascadia units for the Mexican domestic market and exports to Latin America, the U.S. and Canada.
The Saltillo location houses the production plant, a logistics center, an administration building and a training center.
DTNA's production location in northern Mexico offers benefits such as the availability of raw materials, the proximity to suppliers and customers, as well as a good connection to the road and railway network.
The anniversary truck was delivered to "Grupo Mon-Ro", a Mexican fleet specializing in national and international freight operations.
