Cube Route Computes for Reliable Foods Fleet
Web-based technology provider Cube Route announced last week that Reliable Food Supplies is using its on-demand logistics service

The subscription-based Cube Route Visibility service provides Reliable Foods dispatchers with real-time visibility into the status of deliveries.
"Before Cube Route, reports on any exceptions, changes or problems in the daily delivery schedule would only be available to us the following day. As a result, the majority of issues remained unresolved," said Tony Priaulx, IT manager with Reliable Foods. "Our dispatchers simply log in to the Web-based service at any time of the day to see the status of all deliveries in real time."
According to the Cube Route announcement, the application Reliable Foods had used on and off for 10 years was expensive to maintain, reports were difficult to run and complicated to decipher. Cube Route enables dispatchers to monitor pickup orders scheduled into each driver's daily delivery route.
After seeing the positive results achieved through real-time visibility into their delivery operations, Reliable Foods made the decision to roll out the service fleet-wide.
The Cube Route Visibility service being used by Reliable Foods tracks vehicles using any wireless to Web device including cell phones, GPS phones, handheld PDAs or customer field tracking units.
Reliable Foods drivers were already using Java-based mobile phones, so switching to Cube Route was a seamless process. The Visibility service captures a variety of data in real-time, including: mileage, productivity tracking, timecards, exception handling, temperature and signatures. This eliminates the need to re-engineer existing processes and incur additional capital costs. The Visibility service also provides a variety of reporting tools that are used to present tracked data in an easy to understand manner.
