Crysteel, Rostra Receive Work Truck Show 2005 Editors’ Choice Award for New Product Innovation
The National Truck Equipment Association announced that the first Work Truck Show Editors’ Choice Award for New Product Innovatio

, launched during The Work Truck Show 2005 earlier this month in Indianapolis, Ind., resulted in a tie between Crysteel Manufacturing Inc. and Rostra Precision Controls. The Work Truck Show was held in conjunction with the 41st Annual NTEA Convention.
The Editor’s Choice Award recognizes the best new product or innovation among exhibiting companies participating in the New Product Spotlight and New Product Media Guide programs. Nearly 50 trade magazine editors representing 70 industry publications were invited to cast a vote. The winning products were Rostra’s Rearsight Passive Rear Camera System and Crysteel’s ProMax Super Dump.
Rostra’s RearSight was developed for straight trucks in Class 3–7 fleet applications; it displays objects that mirrors cannot see, even in poor weather conditions. The Passive Rear Camera System uses a high-quality color camera that can be installed in the spoiler, door latch, bumper, or other locations. An in-cab monitor displays a 110–160 degree wide-angle view from the rear of the vehicle.
Rostra Precision Controls Inc., Laurinburg, N.C., supplies vehicle speed control systems, transmission components and vehicle comfort seating systems. For more information, visit www.rostra.com.
Crysteel’s ProMax Super Dump features an air-suspension trailing axle that offers greater capacity, excellent stability and easy operation. Easy cleanout is enhanced by a hydraulic tailgate.
Crysteel Manufacturing Inc., Lake Chrystal, Minn., is a dump body, hoist and platform manufacturer with plants in Minnesota and New York and more than 300 distributors worldwide. For more information, please call 1-800-533-0494 or visit www.crysteel.com.
