Continental Tire North America Inc., Charlotte, N.C., is sponsoring the Ultimate Road Trip II, a mobile classroom featuring educational seminars for owner operators.
As in the first Road Trip, Continental is working with Arnold Transportation to present information on topics such as managing money, buying and maintaining equipment, developing a business plan and finding a good tax service. Other topics include planning for retirement, medical insurance and dressing for success. New to the tour this year is a driving simulator located inside the trailer.
The itinerary includes more than 100 truck stops across the county as well as the Mid-America Trucking Show, West Wing booth #6941, in Louisville, KY.; the Tennessee Truck Show in Nashville, Tenn.; the Walcott Truckers Jamboree, in Walcott, Iowa; and the Great American Truck Show in Dallas, Texas. The tour ends in Lafayette, La. on October 21.
