Continental Tire North America has launched a new online training program, "Engage360 Untamed Innovation," to give tire dealers detailed information about the company's commercial vehicle tires.
"The Engage360 Untamed Innovation program is a fully interactive training program that allows our tire dealers and their staff to get in-depth training on Continental's commercial vehicle tires, but at their own pace and convenience," said Amy Spears, Engage360 training manager. "This knowledge will help them assist their commercial tire customers in making more informed choices and add to their toolbox of tire sales skills."
The web site instructs dealers on the basics of how the tires are constructed and provides information on several of Continental's models. It also shows how to use the ContiCostCalculator, an online tool for saving fuel and comparing tire cost.
The new module features videos, illustrations and downloadable data sheets. Users can also take a test and receive certification as a Continental Commercial Tire Specialist upon completion of the program.
"Not only will participating in Engage360 Untamed Innovation allow these dealers to increase their Continental product knowledge and selling abilities, but they also have the chance to earn reward points toward Continental merchandise and monthly giveaways," Spears said.
The Engage360 has been used by more than 4,000 tire dealers in the passenger and light truck tire training programs since mid-2008, when it was launched.
