Maptuit Corp., Burlington, Mass., announced that Continental Express has installed FleetNav Directions, a real-time directions and route optimization solution and FleetNav Alert

, a reporting tool used to determine a fleet’s performance.
Continental Express, based in Little Rock, Ark., is a truckload, truck/rail and logistics transportation company operating a fleet of 500 power units. Continental has integrated the Maptuit software with its Qualcomm OmniTRACS system and enterprise software from Innovative Computing Co.
FleetNav Directions provides turn-by-turn, street-level directions to drivers. Directions are condensed to lower transmission cost but are graphically presented on the driver’s Qualcomm console in an easy-to-read manner.
Among other features, FleetNav Alert displays all vehicles that are behind schedule on a single map enabling immediate corrective action on all potentially late shipments at the start of the day. FleetNav Alert also gives managers the ability to view the entire tracking history of a vehicle in one simple report.
Maptuit is a hosted solution and is accessed by customers over the web. Turn-by-turn directions are sent to drivers over OmniTRACS.
Maptuit interfaces with most trucking dispatch and enterprise software and also operates over Aether’s MobileMax communications system.
