Con-way Freight announced the grand opening of its new Central Texas service center in Robinson. The facility will serve as the local hub from which the company will provide daily freight services for commercial and industrial businesses in the greater metropolitan regions of Waco, Robinson and other Central Texas communities.
Replacing an existing 22-door service center in Waco, where the company operated for more than 25 years, the new $3.7 million facility boasts expanded capacity with 48 freight-loading doors and an 18,870 square foot dock.
The facility provides increased capacity, flexibility and operating efficiencies and will enable better service for the hundreds of Central Texas businesses the company serves within a 100-mile radius of the Greater Waco metropolitan area.
With its expanded capacity, Con-way Freight expects to add 15 new jobs in the area and generate an annual payroll of more that $3.1 million into the local economy.
