Cole Hersee Company has been acquired by Littelfuse, Inc. of Chicago. According to Donald Mayer, vice president of Cole Hersee, the combined company will be well-positioned to better serve OEMs and aftermarket customers in the heavy vehicle sector.


"This is a great fit. We think the combination with Littelfuse will enable us to bring new products and capabilities to our customers, and provide new opportunities to serve them, Mayer says."

Cole Hersee will continue to design and manufacture innovative and dependable products, while providing the excellent customer service customers have relied upon since 1924.

"The acquisition of Cole Hersee is a significant step in our strategy to expand our OTB (Off-Road, Truck & Bus) business," said Dieter Roder, vice president and general manager of Littelfuse's Automotive Business Unit. "We expect the Cole Hersee acquisition to strengthen key customer relationships, expand our distribution network in North America and extend our product offering to adjacent markets and technologies. Their focus on power management products and heavy duty electromechanical and solid-state switches for DC electrical systems expands our offering to this diverse OTB customer base."
