CITGO Petroleum Corp.’s new CITGARD 700 Heavy Duty Engine Oil is designed to meet the upcoming API CJ-4 performance category, which offers many advantages for fleet owners with 2007, pre-2007, and off-road equipment.
CITGARD 700, when combined with ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD), is designed to deliver optimum soot control, protection from higher operating temperatures, and prolonged particulate filter life.
Offered as a synthetic blend in a 15W-40 viscosity grade, CITGARD 700 addresses the specific features of 2007 engines – such as exhaust aftertreatment diesel particulate filter systems. These aftertreatment systems will require ultra-low sulfur fuel and API CJ-4 performance engine oils to meet reduced emission standards.
CITGARD 700 will be introduced before Oct. 15, 2006, the first licensing date allowed by the American Petroleum Institute. Other features of the new oil include:
• State-of-the-art synthetic blend technology for advanced soot control and a higher TBN level.
• Available in bulk and drum packaging. One-gallon containers will be made available based on customer requirements.
