ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants, a leading provider of heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and coolants, said Tuesday its Delo brand of premium heavy-duty lubricants will sponsor The Midnight Trucking Radio Network's Million Mile Club,
a program designed to honor truck drivers with one million miles of accident-free driving.
Now in its 12th year, the Million Mile Club is one of the most prestigious honors in the trucking industry.
"ChevronTexaco has a longstanding commitment to safe driving," said Gary Parsons, Commercial Automotive Business unit manager for ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants.
"The Million Mile Club recognizes those who have accomplished something truly outstanding in the trucking industry. It's something these individuals should be very proud of and it's an achievement the general public can appreciate as well. ChevronTexaco is honored to help recognize these drivers and their accomplishments through its sponsorship of the Million Mile Club."
"We thank ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants for helping WBAP and The Midnight Trucking Radio Network to continue this important program," said Mindy Baker-Herring, marketing director for The Midnight Trucking Radio Network. "The safety of our audience is one of our primary concerns, which makes ChevronTexaco, with its dedication to on- and off-highway safety, an ideal sponsor for this event."
The Midnight Trucking Radio Network Dallas/Fort Worth's WBAP Radio (820/AM) is home to The Midnight Trucking Radio Network, a popular national radio show dedicated to truckers.
